Challenge and user context
Adults (30–60) who are concerned about tap water quality and seek a convenient, safe alternative.
Goals and objectives
Establish Upskāl as the trusted, friction-free source for healthy home hydration. Our primary objective was to streamline the online purchasing process to drive adoption and repeat orders.
Design hypothesis and solution
Implement a Subscription Service with flexible management features to eliminate friction and drive customer lifetime value (CLV).
Ideation
Though captured in the initial wireframes, the 'Subscribe and Save' feature was deprioritized for the initial MVP launch due to logistical/fulfillment limitations. I documented the feature set and testing results in detail (see JIRA preview) and created a Hi-Fi design roadmap for the future-state product, ensuring the work wouldn't be lost.

Design System Foundations
I spearheaded the development of Upskāl’s core design system, creating the foundational documentation that ensures brand consistency and scalability. This included defining the color palettes, typography guidelines, responsive logo sizing, iconography standards, and initial component library.

Accessibility annotations
To ensure the product website is usable by the widest possible audience, I integrated detailed accessibility annotations directly into the design handoff documentation. This provided developers with the necessary standards and specifications to correctly implement features for users utilizing assistive technologies, making accessibility a non-negotiable part of the launch.
